Phosphate-containing formulations may react with calcium released from damaged cells, potentially leading to the formation of insoluble crystal deposits on the cornea. In rare cases, these deposits can affect visual clarity.
How to use
- Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the ointment.
- Tilt your head slightly backward and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
- Apply a small ribbon of ointment (approximately 0.5 cm / ¼ inch) into the pocket formed by the lower eyelid. Avoid touching the tip of the tube to your eye, eyelid, or any other surface.
- Close your eyes gently for a few moments to allow the ointment to spread evenly across the eye surface.
- Wipe away any excess ointment around the eyelids if necessary.
- Replace the cap securely after use.
Important Information
- OCUNOX® is recommended for nighttime use, as it may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after application.
- Do not use while wearing contact lenses. Remove lenses before applying the ointment.
- If you are using other eye medications, apply them first and wait at least 30 minutes before using OCUNOX®.
- Use as directed by your eye care professional.
